BANQERO BRUT Jamaica is produced in the lush plains of the Lluidas Vale region, following the most authentic Jamaican tradition. Distilled in 2018 solely from molasses in a copper pot still, this rum was bottled in 2024. After an initial aging of 4 years in bourbon barrels in the heart of the island, this rum completed the maturation process in Switzerland for 24 months in barrels used for aging Mitis, a sweet white wine from the Valais region.
The first batch, “Cask No.6” produced 405 numbered bottles. Without any added sugar or additives, this rum presents a complex nose with notes of green apple, tropical yellow fruits and spices characteristic of the heavy rums produced in this region. The palate is powerful and dry.
